Injury/ Illness/ First-aid Procedures for the Salem Campus

 

In emergencies requiring immediate medical attention, call 911

In other situations, or following notification of 911, contact the front desk by dialing "0" to have the appropriate Administrator notified.

First-aid treatment:

  • Level of first-aid treatment you can provide will be dictated by the severity of the situation and your knowledge of and training in first-aid procedures
  • Never administer first-aid procedures beyond your qualifications, understanding that improperly administered procedures may actually increase the severity of an injury
  • Attempt to make the injured/ill individual as comfortable as you can until proper medical assistance arrives
  • Access available first-aid kits, as needed
