Members of the PTA and OTA Programs Spread Holiday Cheer

Posted Dec. 13, 2010

Students involved with Kent State East Liverpool's Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) clubs helped create holiday cheer in our area by hosting a party for students at the Columbiana County Board of Developmental Disabilities Robert Bycroft School.   Approximately 60 students, faculty, and staff continued Kent State East Liverpool's tradition of hosting a Christmas party at the school.  This was the fifth year for the party.  The gathering included lunch, presents, and holiday cookies. Members from both Kent State East Liverpool clubs purchased, wrapped and delivered gifts to the students.  A wish list was prepared by Robert Bycroft School staff member Brenda Williams, '00.  Williams is a graduate of the Kent State East Liverpool's PTA program and serves as a physical therapist assistant at the school.   Every member of the PTA and OTA programs purchased a gift for a Robert Bycroft student. During lunch, club members spent time with the students helping distribute gifts and organize games and activities.
