Office of Student Financial Aid to Offer Free Financial Aid Assistance for Students and Parents

Posted Jan. 23, 2013

Kent State University's Office of Student Financial Aid will host the state-wide college financial aid event "College Goal Sunday" (CGS) on Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at Franklin Hall on the Kent Campus.

The free event, presented by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA) and endorsed by the Ohio Board of Regents, assists students and parents with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is the federal application that is required to receive federal financial aid including the Federal Pell Grant and student loans as well as the need-based state grants.

Families are encouraged to register for the free event at or by calling 1-800-233-6734. While walk-ins are welcome, registration is encouraged.
