Red Cross Blood Drive at Kent Salem
Posted Apr. 27, 2010On Wednesday, April 28th Kent State University at Salem will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Every person who donates will receive a coupon good for $5 at Chipotle.
The American Red Cross, Northern Ohio Blood Services provides blood products to approximately 57 hospitals within the 18 counties we serve. Every day we must collect more than 900 pints of blood to meet the needs of patients who receive treatment at these hospitals. This requires a commitment from thousands of volunteer blood donors who take time out of their busy schedules to donate the gift of life.
For more information on donating blood go to www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800 GIVE LIFE. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 AND YOUNGER also have to meet certain height and weight requirements. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.
