Allied Health Job Fair Held at KSU East LiverpoolPosted Mar. 14, 2012
Kent State University students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and Physical Therapist Assistant programs started networking Wednesday, February 29 during the programs’ annual Allied Health Job Fair. This is the sixth year for the fair, which brings together area employers.
Companies including Arbor Rehabilitation, Blue Sky Therapy, Marden Rehabilitation, Orchards at Foxcrest, Portage Physical Therapists, Inc., Premier Therapy and UPMC sent representatives to meet with students and discuss possible future employment opportunities.
OTA Program Director, Harriett Bynum considers the job fair an excellent way for students to be proactive in looking for employment. “The job fair is a way to expose OTA and PTA students to various local healthcare companies. Students have the opportunity to discuss potential local positions, company benefits and compare what is being offered in the area,” Bynum said.
This year more than 50 students took advantage of this opportunity.
