Kent State University at East Liverpool is currently under renovation. Two of the campus’ parking lots are renovating undergoing major improvements. The renovations will create additional parking for the continued increase in enrollment. On the corner of Broadway and 4th Street, twenty-seven parking spaces will be created, along a newly created green space that will be used as a mini park with six benches.  Students will also benefit from sixty more parking spots in the lot on 4th and Walnut Street. Throughout the project, Kent State has made a valiant effort to work with local contractors to keep business in the area. During the course of the project they have worked with LIPP, out of Rogers, Santini Construction out of Washingtonville, Santon out of Boardman and Federal Iron Works out of Columbiana. The projected completion date for the two projects is Friday, October 28.
